WHAT IS POSITIVE OUTLOOK i hear you ask

This post is to tell everyone what positive outlook really is, and what its about and what its actually trying to do...

THIS IS BRIEF AND THEIR WILL BE LEAFLESTS TO PICK UP AT THE GIG.

THE PAST

Positive Outlook Records started in '98 with the release of the HHH demo CD "Old Skool".
The idea toi start a label came about as best described as an accident. The collective of people involved were made up largely of the same people who made the MFG fanzine from peterborough. The zine was made in around '96- '98 and was a politically based fanzine done by the kids who knew no better!

After people within the collective left to uni and new pastures and the trest of us wanted to do something different. Members of HHH were involved in a zine and had just recorded their demo, and then they had the brainwave to start a label. what the label was going to be was not really considered at this point in time... they just went with the flow, various other ideas came into place since these days, including market stalls for kids sell cds at good prices etc etc, vegetarian cafe's, book stalls and the like...

THE FUTURE
the idea of their next progect is to try and document our experiencies within our culture, but also within our lives. we are hoping to tie in a fantastic variety of media (music, video, art, audio writing etc.) expressing and recording what we do, while using it as an excuse to me more motivated in more areas.

Positive Outlook is a DIY label, and recently the tour van had failed its M.O.T. and in need of great repair and will cost around ?1000 to get it back on the road. so all contributions will be appreciated.
all the money made on the door at the gig will be given to positive outlook records to help with this needy van.

however this van serves a purpose, and its essential to get this back on the road as many of the uk bands use it. Stand, mend this tear, HHH, selah, to name a few, aslo when the van is in a good working order, the van will be availabe for hire.

but like i said more infrmation will available to get at the gig. and the van will be there for viewing, so you can see what state its in.
